If TikTok is so dangerous...why?

Is there evidence - from a security firm or code analysis - of the app doing something scandalous?

We've seen examples from Meta and Twitter doing sketchy things. But I haven't seen such examples from TikTok. Have I missed them?

Is there a smoking gun? Or are we supposed to take the politician's word on this?
